What you can do
An inedible rendering facility processes inedible meat and offal by rendering (heating and drying) it into products that cannot be eaten by people
With this licence, you can:
- render (heat and dry) inedible meat and offal into products that cannot be eaten by people, and
- sell those rendered products.
What you cannot do
You cannot:
- slaughter animals - you need an Abattoir licence.
- slaughter poultry - you need a Poultry Processing Facility licence.
- slaughter game - you need a Game Meat Processing licence
- render edible meat and offal to be sold for human consumption (get a Prime Tallow Processing Facility licence)
- transport meat or seafood - you need a Meat Transport Vehicle licence.
